Officers arrived to the 13300 block of Nickleson Drive shortly after midnight, Tuesday, Oct. 18 to investigate reports of a fight, according to Prince William County police.

Upon arrival, officers witnessed two women fighting and attempted to intervene when a woman identified as Catherine Mejia struck one of the officers.

While investigating the fight, Andrea Reyes, who was not involved in the initial fight, was detained for public intoxication and kicked an officer, who reported minor injuries.

While being processed at the Prince William-Manassas Adult Detention Center, Mejia then spit on an officer.

Both women were subsequently arrested.
